Every once in a while, a project comes along that reminds me exactly why I do what I do.
Dr. April Paul and Emily Parker-Morse of Love Is Life Veterinary Clinic were referred to me after spending nearly a year trying to find a home for their mission—a nonprofit clinic dedicated to providing low-cost veterinary care to local communities, shelters, strays, and families in need.
From the moment we met (often in freezing cold parking lots and rain), their dedication was clear. They weren’t just opening a clinic. They were building something much bigger: a safe, accessible space for animals in crisis and for the people who love them but may not always have the resources to get them care.
It wasn’t an easy road.
But April, Emily, and the LILVC team never gave up—and neither did I.
Together, we navigated the hurdles, worked through town approvals, and found a location that will now serve the community with compassion, skill, and purpose. Their doors officially opened in July, and I couldn’t be more proud to have played a small part in helping that dream take root.
Because this job isn’t just about square footage or price per square foot. It’s about helping good people do great things—and making sure missions like theirs have a place to thrive.
